We have a lot of ants! They were visiting us yesterday. :-)

The main thing for us is to eliminate their food supply. So I constantly 
sweep and vacuum. I do use the ant stakes (pull a litte out with a
toothpick 
or pour some hot water on it to loosen the poisoan). But they do come back

eventually. I've tried all sorts of herbs that have strong smells and none

have helped.

I have never ever met anyone who has been able to completely get rid of 
ants.
